Borrow My Voice
Terms of Use
Effective and last updated: August 22, 2026
These Terms govern use of BorrowMyVoice.net and related Borrow My Voice content and services operated by Borrow My Voice LLC. By using the website, creating an account, starting a Premium subscription, or purchasing a personalized recording, you agree to these Terms to the extent applicable to that activity.
1. What Borrow My Voice provides
Borrow My Voice provides original spoken-word content intended for encouragement, reflection, emotional support, supportive self-talk, relaxation, and general wellness. Content may address difficult human experiences, but it is not intended to replace individualized professional care.
2. Wellness and emergency disclaimer
Borrow My Voice is not psychotherapy, counseling, psychiatric treatment, medical treatment, diagnosis, crisis intervention, legal advice, financial advice, or another licensed professional service. Use of the website does not create a clinician-patient, therapist-client, nurse-patient, attorney-client, or similar professional relationship.
Borrow My Voice is not an emergency-response or crisis-monitoring service. If you believe you or another person may be in immediate danger, seek appropriate emergency or crisis assistance in your location.
3. Age and eligibility
Public Borrow My Voice content is general-audience content and may be appropriate for listeners of different ages, but it is not produced specifically for children.
You must be legally capable of agreeing to these Terms to make a purchase, submit a paid-service request, or enter into another binding transaction. Children under 13 should not submit personal information through website forms. Parents or guardians may access public content with younger listeners and may purchase personalized services for them.
4. Personalized recordings
Personal Note, Full Message, and Extended Message personalized recordings may be purchased directly through secure Stripe Checkout when the selected request is eligible for immediate purchase. Payment creates a paid personalized-recording order subject to the selected format, length tier, turnaround terms, private-use license, cancellation policy, and these Terms.
Requests longer than 15 minutes, requests requiring special review, or other custom work may be submitted for a custom quote instead of immediate payment. A custom-quote submission is not a completed purchase until Borrow My Voice accepts the request and payment terms are separately completed.
Borrow My Voice retains editorial and creative discretion over anything performed in the creator’s voice or likeness and may request clarification or reasonable changes when necessary to produce an appropriate recording. A purchase does not guarantee exact wording, a particular emotional result, or acceptance of content that conflicts with the service’s safety, legal, licensing, or creative standards.
Additional terms apply to personalized recordings. See the Personalized Recording Terms & Disclaimer.
5. Personal use; no organizational or commercial license
Unless a separate written agreement expressly states otherwise, personalized Borrow My Voice recordings are licensed solely for private, individual, noncommercial use. No commercial or organizational rights are included with an individual request or purchase.
Businesses, nonprofits, schools, government entities, media companies, employers, brands, campaigns, wellness programs, applications, and other organizations must obtain a separate written license for organizational or commercial use. See Commercial Licensing.
6. Voice, image, identity, and artificial intelligence
All rights in the creator’s voice, image, name, likeness, identity, performance, delivery, and recognizable persona are reserved. Access to content does not authorize advertising, endorsement, impersonation, commercialization, or synthetic reproduction.
Borrow My Voice content may not be used without prior written authorization for AI training, generative-AI training, machine-learning training, dataset creation, model development or evaluation, speech-model development, biometric modeling, voice cloning, text-to-speech synthesis, synthetic speech, voice conversion, digital replicas, avatars, deepfakes, synthetic performers, or creation of new material purporting to feature the creator.
7. Intellectual property and redistribution
Borrow My Voice retains its rights in original recordings, scripts, written content, artwork, graphics, branding, logos, designs, compilations, and performances. Public availability does not place content in the public domain. You may not resell, sublicense, rebroadcast, package, monetize, scrape, systematically extract, or evade technical access controls except as expressly permitted by law or by a written license.
8. Information and materials you submit
You represent that you have the right to provide any names, scripts, messages, instructions, images, pronunciation information, or other materials you submit. You retain ownership of your original submitted material.
You grant Borrow My Voice a limited permission to access, edit, adapt, perform, record, and process submitted material only as reasonably necessary to evaluate or fulfill your request, maintain appropriate business records, protect the service, and comply with law.
9. Prohibited uses
You may not use Borrow My Voice to violate law, harass or threaten others, impersonate another person, distribute malware, bypass access controls, obtain content fraudulently, exploit another person’s private information, falsely imply endorsement, engage in prohibited commercial activity, or clone or synthesize the creator’s voice or likeness.
10. Premium subscriptions, payments, cancellations, and refunds
Borrow My Voice Premium is offered as a recurring monthly or annual subscription at the price shown before checkout. When an introductory trial is offered and you are eligible, Stripe collects a payment method at enrollment and the selected subscription price is charged automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel before the trial expiration time.
After a paid subscription begins, it renews automatically at the applicable monthly or annual interval until canceled. Prices, billing interval, trial information, and recurring-payment authorization are shown before you enter Stripe Checkout. Borrow My Voice may send courtesy trial-ending or annual-renewal reminders, but you remain responsible for managing your subscription before the applicable billing date.
Premium billing can be managed through the Member Portal using Stripe’s secure customer portal. You may update your payment method, review available billing history, or cancel the subscription. Unless Stripe or applicable law requires otherwise, a cancellation is scheduled for the end of the current paid or trial entitlement period rather than removing access immediately.
Personalized recordings are one-time purchases separate from Premium subscriptions. The price, format, length tier, and any eligible rush surcharge are shown before payment. Personalized services involve individualized creative work. The Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to personalized orders unless checkout states additional terms required by law or a payment provider.
11. Privacy and third-party services
Your use of Borrow My Voice is also governed by our Privacy Policy. The website may interact with third-party hosting, analytics, email, form-processing, media, payment, or social platforms that are governed by their own terms and privacy practices.
12. Availability, disclaimers, and changes
Borrow My Voice may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue features. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, a particular emotional response, or a particular outcome from using the service.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided on an “as available” basis. Nothing in these Terms limits consumer rights or liability that applicable law does not permit us to waive or limit.
We may update these Terms as the service evolves. The date at the top of this page identifies the current version.
